Premise of the Game

The objective of the roulette game is to guess in which of the numbered pits the ball will rest next time.

Game Table

The American roulette table has a rotating wheel and a game table layout. The wheel has pits numbered from 1 to 36, a 'zero' pit and a 'double zero' pit. Half of the 36 numbered pits is black, the other half of the pits is red. The Zero and the double zero pits are assigned to green. Numbers from 1 to 36 form three columns on the table layout. The colours of the number on the table layout match those on the wheel. In the left part of the table layout there are fields for dozen bets. Next to them are fields for equal-chance bets. Zero and Double zero are at the top of the columns. Fields for column bets are at the bottom.

Rules of the Game

The player makes bets on the field according to his prediction where the ball will stop. In order to start a game the player has to press Spin. He can place other bets. If the player wishes, he can rotate the wheel without any bets.

When the ball stops in one of the pits, a marker showing the winning number is placed on the table layout. In a top window you will see the blown-up winning wheel number. The winning number is recorded in the game history, which is in the top-right vertical window.

En Prison

American roulette has two Zero sectors, what makes it less attractive for the player than French roulette. In order to reduce the casino advantage American roulette features an "en prison" rule.

If the player makes equal-chance bets (bet pays 1 to 1: Red/Black, Even/Odd, 1-18/19-36) and the ball lands in the Zero pit, then the player does not lose the bets, but they are imprisoned.

The player can do two things:

  • The player can take back half of the bets (the other half goes to the casino). For this he needs to choose the bet by clicking on the prison field and press Surrender. You can return more than one bet at once.
  • The player can try to win back the entire bet. He just needs to leave the bet in prison and press Spin. If he wins, all his imprisoned bets return to him. If he loses or it is Zero, then the bets go to the casino.

Bets

In order to make a bet you need to choose a chip and drag it to the wanted field on the table layout. If a chip is already chosen, you can make bets by mere clicking on the fields. Every click adds one chip of the same denomination, when it is possible.

All bets must be within the set range for this table layout. All bets total must not exceed 300.

In order to clear all bets (except imprisoned ones) you need to press Cancel. In order to clear a placed bet, you should click the field with this bet while keeping 'Ctrl' pressed.

In order to repeat the previous bets you need to press Rebet.

There are many types of bets in the game of roulette, which can be divided into groups: inside and outside. The player can make as many bets in each group as long as the total of the bets is within the game range.
